We had the unique experience of having Jim and Grant Bim represent us twice for the same property. Our contract fell through the first time when they were Agents of Long and Foster; when we relisted, Jim and Grant had formed Winning Edge their family-owned and operated brokerage. I mention this for two reasons. One, when the first contract fell through they did everything in their power to get to closing. The fact that we didn't get there was not because of their lack of effort. When we relisted with Winning Edge, we were concerned that not having the name Long and Foster behind them would be a disadvantage. This was NOT the case whatsoever. Grant's tenacity and focus on getting to closing was the same. I learned that it isn't the "name" of the company representing you, it's the people who do that's most important.
